Obesity is now widely recognised as the leading cause of death worldwide, with over half of all adults being overweight or obese in countries such as the UK, USA and Canada to name a few. It's no coincidence that rates of Type 2 diabetes, cancer and heart disease are soaring too, as excess weight hugely increases your likelihood of developing health conditions like these. But if you think you've tried all the diets out there and they haven't worked for you, don't despair!
Why weight loss coaching?
If you've searched the internet or browsed the bookstores, you'll know that there's a huge amount of conflicting information out there. Sometimes this is just because every person is different, so what works for one may not work for another, and other times sadly it's because the authors are just hoping to gain followers by churning out unproven and even dangerous advice. That's why I only base my recommendations on sound, scientifically proven strategies that work for sustainable, long-term weight loss. I will work with you to set realistic goals and to formulate strategies to obtain them. Together, we will create a bespoke programme that gives you the tools you need to succeed and the right amount of accountability to smash your targets.
Who do I work with?
My clients tend to be women in their 30s and 40s, although I'm happy to work with anyone who is serious about taking charge of their health and weight loss journey. I particularly specialise in helping women to navigate the tricky waters of perimenopause and menopause, which can often result in frustrating weight gain. My focus is on plant-based nutrition, both for ethical reasons and due to the wealth of scientific backing for this dietary pattern. I don't subscribe to fad diets or trends not supported by evidence, so if you're a strict adherent of diets like the Keto or Paleo diet and not willing to try something new, then I'm probably not the right coach for you.

My extensive training in nutrition and fitness can help to set you on the right path to long term sustainable weight loss, whilst regular meetings keep you accountable. I am a fully qualified nutritionist, fitness coach, personal trainer, herbalist and am a certified FIT CHICKS Academy® Holistic Nutrition Weight Loss Coach. I recognise that every person is unique; that's why I tailor my programmes to suit your needs. I generally work with clients over a 3-6 month period, with calls weekly or biweekly, and regular email support in between calls. You'll receive as many recipes, meal plans and cheat sheets as you need, and I also provide a bespoke training package of video content and written material to help you understand the reasons behind healthy food choices, so that you're not reliant on me for evermore. My goal is to empower you to go off on your own, confident in your own ability to manage your weight successfully, not to shackle you to an endless round of coaching.
I only work with clients who are invested in their lasting good health. If your goal is to shed 30lbs in a month and who cares about the consequences, then I'm not the coach for you.
